We have recently completed the Beginner and Intermediate training classes with Love K9. Milo (my 6 month old Mini Schnauzer) and I have thoroughly enjoyed the classes.
As a first time dog owner I found the lessons invaluable and great for socialising my puppy too. Milo now knows wait, watch, nicely, this-way, sit, stay, leave, down, finish and heel ! The classes also covered recall and Milo does well with this, but he’s young and I know this will improve with his age and my perseverance. I look forward to utilising and extending the skills I have learnt as a dog owner and we will be returning for the Advanced training and no doubt will then move on to the Agility classes.
Thank you Brian, Jean and Vicky for your help and expertise. Look forward to seeing you very soon!

I have been attending Brian’s training lessons with my boy Dakari since he was 16 weeks, attending Puppy, Intermediate and Advanced Classes – he is now 14 months. With Brian’s superb knowledge and ability to put things across, Dakari has come on leaps and bounds. We still like to carry on with the training sessions as it’s become like a club and look forward to training every week.
Brian is always on hand to give advice either on the phone, or email if you come up against any problems. We hope to carry on lessons in the future. A big THANK-YOU from myself and Dakari.
You’re one in a million….
We look forward to training every week!Lynne and Cliff with Dakari
Alpha is highly-strung, exuberant and difficult to handle, but his behaviour began improving after just one lesson with Brian and the team. These classes are a good opportunity to socialise young dogs in controlled conditions, and Alpha has certainly matured into a better-behaved and more receptive dog as a result of them.
I highly recommend LoveK9, whether or not you have a ‘firework on a string’ type dog (like Alpha)!

Finally, Dottie is learning something useful at a puppy class! – how to behave appropriately in different situations as well as the usual commands. Thank you Brian and team for your real understanding of what dogs need to learn in the real world. Looking forward to the next step for Dottie and myself.

My puppy Barney and I completed the Beginners and Intermediate courses run by Brian and the LoveK9 team and will join the outdoor classes when we can. The groups are small and include dogs of all ages, sizes and temperament. The owners and pets receive individual attention to correct behaviours (of dogs and owners!). Lots of laughter throughout and no pressure or fuss even if “accidents” occur. Barney was very happy to see Brian and the other dogs each week. More importantly, he responded very well to the group exercises and individual instructions. Classes are highly recommended and extremely good value.
Lots of laughter throughout…Maria with Barney
We recently attended an Intermediate level training class with Brian, Vicky and Jean. Stathis (a rescue dog from Greece), is quite an independent boy but he really enjoyed the classes. They were well paced so the dogs didn’t have a chance to get bored and though we are not quite there with ‘stay’, we are much closer than we were! We learned a lot and now the 5 sessions are over we are looking forward to our next set of Advanced sessions.

Wogy and I thoroughly enjoyed the Intermediate training course. The lessons were led by Brian, clearly a very experienced teacher who loves his work, delivering training strategies and methods very clearly and including lots of fun along the way. Brian’s two assistant trainers are also great and always available to help if required. The course really helped develop my confidence as a new dog owner and my boy Wogy benefited hugely too!, so thank you Brian and the LoveK9 team – am really looking forward to the Advanced lessons now!

Coco was initially a nervous and unsettled dog, however, having attended Love K9 training lessons she is now a calmer, obedient and happier dog. Brian ‘s enthusiasm, flexibility and knowledge of dogs shines through at all times. As dog owners, we have learned so much from Brian and we can’t thank him enough.
She is now a calmer, obedient and happier dog…Helen and Jan
Willow (my working cocker) and I have just completed Intermediate training class. I would like to thank Brian, Jean and Vicky for a fun and informative set of lessons. It has been great for Willow to build her confidence in a small friendly group. We have both got so much out of the classes. I would highly recommend Love K9.
We can’t wait for the Advanced course to start!

Finn has now completed Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced lessons with Brian and the LoveK9 team and has come on so well in such a short space of time – we’re REALLY looking forward to the next training lessons! Great.

Finding Brian (http://www.loveK9.com) has been a godsend for us.
We have owned 3 GSDs and trained them all by ourselves with no problems. We then got Woody!!! He is nothing like any other dog we have had before; he is scared of everything and would bark at anything at all, be it a bin, bench or another dog. His behaviour got so bad that I would not walk him on my own any more. Having always been ‘a dog family’ it was very hard not being able to bring them out with us all the time. But as Woody grew people got more and more wary of him because of the barking. He would always be worse when out with our other dog, a terrier called Daisy, who is 3 yers old.
Brian, Jean and Vicky have spent a lot of time with us and both dogs and the change in them is amazing. We are still working on the behaviour when both dogs are together but I now walk Woody on my own with no problems or stress at all. He is now a happy confident dog and responds well to us. We would both like to thank everyone at LoveK9 for all the help and support you gave us and for helping us to enjoy our dogs again.

Hello, I’m Burt…
When I first came to live with my new mum I had a few issues, like jumping on the bed uninvited, as you can see from the photograph. Mum said it was because I had never learnt boundaries? So she thought it would be a good idea if we visited Brian once a week so I could meet some friends and learn social skills she called it. I hated it – I was nervous and didn’t much like being around all those other dogs. Well mum made me keep going and now although I still can have my moments when I forget my manners, my mum tells everyone I’m much improved.
So if you’re like me, and your mum or dad says you have issues!! come and join me on my weekly visits to Brian and the LoveK9 team….you’ll love it!
My mum tells everyone I’m much improved…Jan with Burt
Thank you for all the brilliant dog training classes. Dylan can’t wait to get there each week….nothing to do with those treats! Always enjoyable and has been good to mix with other dogs and their owners of all breeds and personalities.

Brody has no history as she was picked up as a stray from Ireland. I have had her for 3 years now and I took her to LoveK9 classes as she was a nightmare around other dogs, so it was A MUST for her to have socialisation training, although she has always been fabulous with people. Her obedience is very good now and she is much more relaxed around other dogs.
Brian’s training has been very good for Brody (and me!) for which I am extremely grateful, as we have both learnt such a lot. Am really looking forward to doing some outdoor training soon. Great!

After seeing the effects of Brian’s training & techniques on other owners’ pooches, I decided to enrol Marley our Bichon Cross into an Intermediate 5 week course. Marley was an all-round well behaved dog but had issues with his recall & after being chased as a pup and he also had issues being around larger dogs, which included barking at them & then screaming if they tried to say hello. Brian was patient with Marley & allowed him to take his time to feel comfortable in the company of larger dogs & Marley’s done so well that he now says hello to most large dogs that he meets without barking at them first. He has also had great recall since enrolling him without any incidents of ignoring us when called!
A few months later we got our rescue Collie Zeevah. I asked Brian about successfully introducing Marley to her & his tips & tricks were great – Marley & Zeevah are the best of friends with Marley even pining for her if they get separated in class. I enrolled Zeevah into LoveK9’s Beginner classes straight away & she has just gone from strength to strength – at only 8 months she is now a regular member of the Advanced class with owners often commenting at how calm she is for a puppy.
We are now just waiting for Zeevah to become old enough so she can take part in LoveK9’s Agility courses. Can’t wait!
Brian was patient with Marley & allowed him to take his time…Stacey with Marley and Zeevah
I’ve just completed the Intermediate training with my labrador Hunter. Brian and his team are amazing. I would definitely recommend LoveK9.
Looking forward to the Advanced and outdoor training next!

Dakari and I have completed Puppy, Intermediate and Advanced training levels with Brian Stanton and the LoveK9 team. We have thoroughly enjoyed every lesson…didn’t miss one. Brian has taught both of us!! and Dakari has come on in ‘leaps and bounds’.
I have always had dogs and Dakari is my second Rhodesian Ridgeback, but he has been quite challenging. Brian’s quiet and at times (when necessary) commanding tones have proved to be essential to Dakari’s training, having learnt varied socialisation skills alongside Sit/Stay/Watch/Wait/Finish etc. We’re still working on close/heel, but that’s work in progress, and is steadily improving. Brian’s assistants, Jean and Vicky, are always ready and willing to help out where necessary.
Although we have finished all 3 levels we shall continue with Dakari’s education and carry on going to the classes – it has become like a club to us and we really look forward each week to our meeting. In the near future we are also hoping to join the LoveK9 outdoor training sessions – these will be Dakari’s University of Life degree, helping him develop a successful recall in any situation…can’t wait!
The best thing we ever did!Lynne and Cliff with Dakari
The small class size is ideal. The LoveK9 trainers are extremely friendly and helpful and always happy to answer questions.
My dog’s confidence has improved greatly since we have been going to the classes – a really good social and informative event for both dogs and owners. We shall keep going!
Thank you LoveK9.

We have been astounded by the friendly and supportive nature of the LoveK9 training team. Thor is a rescue who, prior to being seen at home by Brian and taking part in two training courses, was for the most part untrained and uncontrollable.
A home visit initially helped us deal with Thor’s behaviour issues and, a little later, the small training classes helped socialise Thor and taught us so much about our dog. Advice and answers are readily available from Brian, Jean and Vicky.
A week after bringing Thor home we seriously wondered if we would be able to keep him because of his behaviour. Now he is the dog we wanted and we are the owners he needs. We are all still a work in progress but are ready to move forward with LoveK9’s support….onward and upward.

Archie is our 7 month old Shih-tzu/Lhasa Apso. He’s our first ever family dog and we’ve been coming to Brian’s classes since he was about 5 months old.
We have thoroughly enjoyed the basic and the intermediate groups and they have been both fun and most useful to us as new dog owners. It has been great to socialise Archie with other dogs of all shapes and sizes and for us to meet other dog owners!
Brian and his team make the lessons enjoyable and their training methods are easy to follow and have worked really well for us. We can highly recommend them to anybody!

Having previously had an extremely well behaved dog for 14 years and working full time I knew getting a puppy would be out of the question, so decided to rescue a dog instead…welcome Nualla!!!…a shepherd x husky aged 2 – 2.5 years who had serious attitude! Nualla had obviously never received any training or experience of the outside world, so everything (in Nualla’s eyes) was for her entertainment, especially other dogs! Walking her outside was a nightmare and I was not able to let her off the lead, so it was then I met some fellow dog walkers who told me about Brian and lovek9.com…with nothing to lose I gave Brian a call. Brian came to meet Nualla in our home and then we began training and we have never looked back. Each class has benefited Nualla and myself so much, with Brian’s reassurance, guidance and techniques in hand Nualla and I have gone from strength to strength and we are now affiliated members of the Advanced training group and are about to embark on our first Agility class.
I am now able to enjoy my beloved dog – Nualla enjoys her time off the lead and likes nothing more than a good play/run with her doggy friends whilst I have the confidence to know she’ll return when called. She has mastered her sit/down/stay and recall and is much more attentive to my instructions, and more importantly is able to socialise calmly.
I can’t thank Brian, Jean and Vicky for all they have done for Nualla and I, for answering all my questions, identifying solutions and assisting me with Nualla’s training. Great!
We have never looked backHelen with Nualla
My Lurcher, Eddie, was nervous around other dogs. After a very instructive 1:1 with Brian, we concluded that my leadership skills were at fault! I therefore embarked on a 5 week training session with Eddie to rectify my problem…what a difference!…Almost immediately Eddie started to respond to me and my commands, and through socializing became happier around other dogs.
The classes were small and friendly, with Brian’s two lady helpers (Jean & Vicky) also there to help and guide us. It has been a most enjoyable, stimulating and fruitful experience. Thank you so much Brian and your team.
What a difference!Patricia and Joseph with Eddie
Brian, Jean and Vicky provide an excellent starting point for taking you and your dog through the basics, intermediate and advanced training that gives you the tools to continue and take your dog further. Without their support I would not be the proud owner of 3 well behaved retired racing greyhounds.

Brian first came to my home to help me with Sprout, my then 2 year old cairn x terrier. Although a small dog, Sprout had a BIG attitude and thought he ruled the roost! Almost as soon as Brian walked through the door Sprout altered and Sprout’s behaviour improved even more dramatically when we began attending classes…so has mine I might add, as it’s not just Sprout that needed teaching. Going to classes has been invaluable to Sprout and he now has a healthy respect for me, my family and other dogs. Attending training classes is informative and fun. I can’t praise Brian and his fabulous assistants, Vicki and Jean, highly enough. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend…in fact I have!

Our beloved GSD Yarras was unaccustomed to walking down the street ignoring other dogs, and we found it difficult to control him on such walks. A friend said Brian Stanton could solve this problem. We were very impressed with Brian’s understanding of dog psychology and immediately joined his dog socialisation classes. The organized and skillfully controlled structure of the class gave Yarras the experience he needed, and boosted our confidence. An additional one-to-one service which Brian provided gave us the ability to handle Yarras on the busy promenade. Thank you Brian and the LoveK9 team for your help.

We have 2 extremely lovable, yet boisterous 2.5 year old boxer dogs. Unfortunately, we have encountered behavioural problems with both our dogs so we spoke to Brian, who is extremely helpful and is always on the end of the phone. He even accompanied me on a 1:1 walk to give me some practical tips.
Brian is excellent at demonstrating techniques for improving control and really empowers you to take charge! My dogs are now so much better as a result and happily attend training lessons with lots of other people and dogs present. The classes are small and well controlled; a great environment for socialising safely…and the dogs enjoy it as much as we do!

We have had a rescue collie from the RSPCA called Boycie since September 2011. He is now 15 months old. Brian Stanton (Love K9) has been a life saver for us – through his excellent training regime Boycie, who was quite a headstrong collie, has been transformed into a dog who comes when called, heels when asked to and easily sits and stays on command.
Without Brian’s input we know we would have never achieved such a level of obedience at this early stage. We are continuing with classes to ensure that we have a well behaved and obedient dog in the future, one that we can take anywhere with confidence. Brian’s two assistants, Vicky and Jean, have to take a lot of the credit too – they are marvellous, offering advice and practical help whenever needed.
Thank you all for your help.

Two years ago we took on a four year old Rescue German Shepherd – Kaiser. At first he seemed perfect, no barking, but went crazy in traffic. He was terrified and impossible to handle. He fought to get out whenever we went out without him. We were beginning to wonder if we had taken on some serious problems beyond our abilities, even though Kaiser was our seventh GSD.
We decided to look for help and found Brian. He came to our home to see us (and Kaiser) on a one-to-one basis and, during the initial information session, gave us lots of guidance and advice as well as practical help. He also took Kaiser out in severe traffic conditions on a number of occasions and cured his panics. Having suffered some separation anxiety in the early days, having implemented some of Brian’s techniques, now we just say ‘in your basket’ and Kaiser knows he’s not joining us for a while and settles down happily.
Kaiser also attends Brian’s socialising classes and these have taught us, as well as Kaiser, to cope really well with normal and unexpected situations.
Thank you very much for your help.

Our dog Max, a Labrador, went from being a hooligan to a gentleman after only a short time attending classes; we just have to mention Brian’s name at home and Max wags his tail and runs to our front door!
Brian is a first class trainer and Jean and Vicky are always on hand to offer advice and practical help. The classes are small, very friendly and great fun! We both attend classes with Max and we are all learning all the time.
Thank you Brian, Jean and Vicky for helping us to really enjoy Max and turning him into a lovely boy.

Bella is a rescue Border/Patterdale cross and had been neglected by her previous family, kept in a kitchen and had no social skills with other dogs or humans. She had no training, wasn’t sociable or affectionate and was a wild escape artist!
Before we took Bella to Brian, we arranged a pre-meeting to discuss the initial steps that we could take, and get an overview of the training to alleviate our fears and give us the opportunity to discuss Bella’s issues and our hopes. Even after just one week, Bella changed her behaviour through the help of Brian and his brilliant team and we are now on our 4th course. Bella, having progressed to the Advanced class, now interacts well with other dogs, walks calmly, sits at the curb, stays and is much better at recall, plus she is a loving and affectionate dog who loves a cuddle…and is a tiny bit spoilt!
Brian’s classes have allowed Bella to be the fabulous dog that she is, plus we have enjoyed the fun yet focused way in which Brian expertly teaches and delivers his classes.

My dog, Dobbie, just wouldn’t listen when he saw another dog and it was impossible to get him to come back!! Going to Brian’s class helped by getting him socialized with other dogs in a controlled environment and he is learning that he can go play – when given permission.
Even if you don’t have any problems with your dog, the classes are fun, you meet other dog owners and Brian, Jean and Vicky have the experience and patience to help you develop your dog’s potential.
Classes are funMary, Hannah, Jemma with Dobbie
Brian, Jean and Vicky offer fantastic advice and practical help; they are very patient with the dogs but especially with the owners! My two dogs, a rottie and a staffie, love them all and are very sociable with other people and dogs as a result…worth every penny and more!!
I would happily recommend loveK9 to others and have done so.

I had never had a dog before. How hard could this be, after all I have three children? It is only a dog after all! Having seen Brian’s advert asking for owners to come along to an informal meeting, I thought ‘oh well, I’ll give it a go’…I had already spent a small fortune on trainers, experts, behaviourists, leads and different types of organic foods to try to help my situation but was at my wits end.
I soon realised at the meeting that this man was addressing most of the problems that I had. He made me feel that there was light at the end of the tunnel. It was quite apparent that is was just as much me that needed the training as well as the dog. How was I reacting in difficult situations? I can honestly say I have never looked back and although Elvis can still be challenging at times, we are still learning together and we are a millions miles away from where we were in the early days. It is great to meet other dog owners and appreciate that you are not the only person experiencing problems.
Without Brian and the teams help we may not have been able to enjoy the company of our little dog! Thank you all very much.
Light at the end of the tunnelNeil, Jackie and of course Elvis!
Our dog Izzy took to Brian straight away. She is excitable but Brian got her attention and she focused on his commands very quickly. Training was made exciting and rewarding and Izzy loves it.
I took Izzy for a walk after that first training evening; other regular dog walkers were astounded at the improvement they saw in her in such a short time. Brian is our very own “Dog Whisperer” and I would not hesitate to recommend anyone to contact him sooner rather than later.
Brian and the team give excellent advice on training. Dogs and owners enjoy socialising and learning together.

We rescued our black Labrador Charlie eighteen months ago. He wasn’t socialised with other dogs or people which caused problems when out on a walk. Since attending Brian’s classes we have seen a massive transformation in Charlie’s behaviour – we even get comments from other dog walkers asking if Charlie is the same dog!! Charlie is now a loving and gentle dog who enjoys attending training lessons. Our other Labrador, Bonnie, has recently joined Charlie in lessons and myself and my wife know we have all benefited from the experience.
Thank you to Brian and the team.
We have all benefited from the experienceGraham & Claire
Brian has a unique way of working and understanding dogs and their owners and this is what I was looking for, particularly as I have three dogs of various ages. Brian encouraged me to take all three dogs to classes…no easy thing, but it worked very well for me and my dogs. Following so many positive experiences in lessons we can now have more enjoyable walks/outings…for them and me.
Brian, Jean and Vicky create a very friendly, welcoming, calm, organised and supportive atmosphere. They are patient and develop an insight into each dog’s needs, offering advice and practical direction when needed – their approach has definitely improved the relationship between my dogs and myself. I have become a better dog handler and have learnt a great deal about a dog’s body language, how to read my dogs…and they are very sociable as a result.

Fred is a rescue dog with issues – I felt a bit embarrassed by him when I attended another training class. When we went to LoveK9 Fred was made very welcome by Brian, Jean and Vicky and I was quickly helped to understand and manage his behaviour. Although he still finds the company of other dogs challenging Fred loves coming to classes, he has been taught coping strategies which means now he does not have to rely on aggression to handle situations.
I am so grateful to Brian and the team for encouraging the best from all kinds of dogs, and my laid-back terrier now gains from the classes too.

Elsa was a rescue with no history, as she was found wandering the streets of London. I was told she was rather gobby! This turned out to be very true, as she barked at everything and everyone and sounded quite aggressive. Upon starting training classes, Brian immediately took control of Elsa & her barking, it became apparent that it was not aggression but anxiety. Elsa responded positively to the small training classes guided by strong & well structure training regime of Brian, Jean & Vicky.
Elsa is now a very happy and contented Dobermann who is very friendly to other dogs and people alike. Thank you Brian and the LoveK9 team.

The LoveK9 team has a fun, structured schedule which allows all dogs and owners to progress quickly with confidence. Because the class sizes are small, any training needs can be identified quickly which allows the whole class to move on together.
As an initially excitable Patterjack with strong instincts, Bronte has progressed to become a calm Advanced-level dog. In the class environment she is capable of being left alone in a down/stay and can easily carry out difficult instructions off the lead. She can now ignore the behaviour of less experienced dogs and is an absolute pleasure to take out for a walk.
