Why attend Dog Agility classes?

‘Fun’ Dog Agility Classes provide a host of benefits for both owner and LoveK9 trainee:

Having fun with your dog alongside other people and their dogs
Routinely practicing your set of commands/instructions
Motivating your dog to listen to you off-lead in a fun environment
Increasing your dog’s confidence levels, and yours

Dog Training Levels

BEGINNER AGILITY

This is a 4-week course focusing on building a positive Agility foundation for you and your dog. We introduce you and your trainee to a few individual obstacles arranged in a straight line initially and each week we gradually increase your dog's confidence by introducing very achievable goals. Treats are involved too! A really positive and supportive training environment exists and great fun is had by all.

INTERMEDIATE AGILITY

This is a 4-week course, where a little more is asked of each dog (and handler!) and increased levels of control are required. Courses are arranged in slightly more challenging formations - more curves and a few twists and turns ... all the dogs love it! Each trainer present will be aware of your dog's strengths and (maybe) weaknesses and will be keen to offer support throughout each lesson - your dog's confidence levels will soar in no time at all.

ADVANCED AGILITY

The Advanced course runs over a 4-week period - many "Advanced" people choose to return and "go again" with their dogs to have more fun while improving their skills on more complex courses. They report their dogs wouldn't ever forgive them if they missed classes! A variety of courses are set up weekly where off-lead Agility sequences are practiced over all of the obstacles - tunnels, A-frames, Dog Walks, Jumps, Hoops etc. All the dogs (and their humans) really enjoy this exhilarating sport practised in a fun, supportive and positive setting.
